Central South Consortium DevelopmentDeck is a new solution to support continuing professional development and training. It is an online searchable directory and booking system for learning opportunities. It has been developed to ensure that Central South Consortium has a highly skilled and professional workforce, including multi-agency partners and the Private, Voluntary and Independent (PVI) sectors, able to support the achievement and development of public communities in Central South Consortium.
Central South Consortium DevelopmentDeck will help to streamline and improve communication so that staff and organisations are able to identify appropriate development opportunities. It will provide access for a wide range of development and training opportunities offered through Central South Consortium County Council. The site has been developed to include a dedicated link to training opportunities for different workforce sectors including Corporate County Council, the Children and Young People's workforce and Adult Care services.
Central South Consortium DevelopmentDeck offers the following benefits:
You can view an up to date directory of courses from different sectors in one place
Book places online with ease - you do not need to be an IT expert!
No more repetitive form filling
Access your learning record at any time
Receive alerts for events and opportunities that match your needs
This web site changes the face of CPD provision for school based staff and aims to bring a number of clear benefits to schools: The new on-line system plans to:
Give more choice of CPD
Facilitate school networking
Provide an up to date record of CPD of all staff within any one school.
Offer an effective system for recording evaluations and feedback about impact upon school practice/standards
We have an extensive and varied selection of training and development opportunities which are available via our online course booking facility which can be accessed by clicking on search courses. The course finder offers you a variety of search criteria. You may browse all course provision without logging in to the system.
To book a place you need to log on by entering your username and password in the login box positioned on the left hand side of the homepage. If you Request a Place on a course and are not logged in you will be taken to the login screen where you can enter your account details and continue.
If you have never attended one of our events previously then please click on the new user link and the system will create an account for you. Your school's CPD leader will then receive an email before your booking is authorised.
This database will help you to find expertise that is available to support school, educational setting, cluster, network, or consortium based training and consultancy.
Cardiff is also working with outside partners to broaden the range of CPD provision offered to schools. These outside partners include recognised experts in their field such as the Key Skills Support Programme Cymru, CILT Cymru, Llantarnam Grange Arts Centre, Gwent Theatre and Management and Education departments within Further and Higher Education institutions.
Use the calendar to find event information by date. The Electronic Personal development Record is a personal CPD record for every user. The EPDR automatically tracks course attendance and provides access to course materials and handouts. Line managers can generate reports for staff in their organisation at any time. Users can also create profiles of CPD interests which prompt automatic messages when new CPD events are added to the Course Finder.
