Cardiff Council schools serve a balanced 2 course meal and a cold drink for £2.40 per child per day. Our menu operates on a three week cycle to ensure that children receive a varied diet, and there is a vegetarian choice available each day.  A link to Cardiff Council's menu can be found below.

Dinner money should be paid on the first day of the school week. Please place your payment in an envelope clearly marked with your child's name and class, and leave it in the boxes in the foyer and in Breakfast Club. You can pay by cash or cheque (made payable to Cardiff City Council, or C.C.C., not to Whitchurch Primary School).

Please check when paying on Monday mornings whether your child is owed credits for days on which he or she was absent or on a school trip but for which you had already paid.

The administrator with responsibility for school meals is:

Primary School Free Breakfast Initiative:

Breakfast has long been recognised as the most important meal of the day and evidence suggests that children who have the opportunity to eat a healthy and nutritious breakfast prior to the start of the school day are more likely to achieve their full potential.

The Welsh Assembly Government Primary School Free Breakfast Initiative gives children in primary schools in Wales the opportunity to have a free, healthy breakfast in school each day. For further information about our Breakfast Club please contact our administration team:
