Welcome to Reception CZ's Class Page!
Our teacher is Mrs C Zirker and our teaching assistants are Mrs Dukes, Miss Christie.
We have our P.E. lesson in the hall on Friday morning. We are learning to be independent when getting changed for our P.E. lesson.
Please encourage your child to get dressed on their own as much as possible. We understand that they may find fastenings tricky and are happy to assist them. It may be useful if on a Friday your child wears shoes that they can put on by themselves. Hair should be tied back and no jewellery worn.

We are a healthy school and offer each child a healthy snack. Children are encouraged to try a variety of fruits and vegetables which they eat together. Snack cost £1 per week and supports this essential part of your child's day. Please pay via Parentpay.
Reading
Your child will bring home reading books which are banded into different levels of difficulty and are a chance for children to practise the skills they will be learning in school. These books are to be enjoyed at home to develop children's love of reading and will be changed weekly. Please ensure that your child brings their book bag to school everyday.
Your child will also be bringing word walls home with key words on that they will need to be able to recognise by sight. We will be working with these words in school and ask you to continue with assisting your child to recognise these also.

We were great party planners! We planned the food, games, decorations and games. We made hats, decorated table cloths, laid the tables, had great fun and even tidied up!

Battle of the Dinosaurs
This term we will be busy learning all about different dinosaurs. We have been using our measuring skills to measure footprints and thinking of describing words to write about different types of dinosaurs. We will be using natural materials to create a big dinosaur in the outdoor area.
