Croeso to our Reception page!

The Reception team includes our teachers – Mrs Davies, Mrs Shah and Miss Barrett– supported by our wonderful learning support assistants, Miss Sydneham, and Mrs Begum. Reception will have P.E on Fridays and children can come to school wearing their P.E kits on these days.

Reading books will be changed every Friday.

Throughout the academic year, our Reception children will embark on a wonderful journey of discovery – learning about themselves, what makes them unique, and exploring their local environment, with a special focus on homes and the materials used to build them. In the Spring term, our focus will shift to Expressive Art, where children will explore different artistic styles and techniques, linking their creativity to our Welsh Culture and Dragons topic. During the Summer term, we’ll delve into the fascinating world of animals, exploring living and non-living things and discovering how forces play a part in our everyday lives.
