Croeso to the Year 5 page!

This year our three Year 5 classes are taught by Miss Lewis, Mr Davila, and Mr Jones, with wonderful support from Miss Western and Mrs Jones.  

This year promises to be full of curiosity, creativity, and discovery!

• Autumn Term: Our central idea is 'Children worldwide encounter different opportunities and challenges'. The children will explore what life is like for young people around the world, comparing their own experiences with those of children from different cultures and historical periods — including the Victorian era.

• Spring Term: Our central idea focusses on culture and how it is expressed through celebrations and festivals both locally and globally. The children will discover the rich variety of traditions around the world and reflect on how communities come together to celebrate shared values and identities.

• Summer Term: We turn our attention to science with the central idea that the world around us is full of living things that depend on each other for survival. Children will investigate ecosystems, life cycles, and the delicate balance that sustains our natural environment.

A quick reminder that PE takes place every Friday, and children can come to school wearing their school PE kit. We can’t wait to share our learning journey with you.
